Daftar Paket Internet Broadband Android Indosat (IM3 dan Mentari)

Tidak seperti Blackberry, pengguna Indosat (kartu IM3 dan Mentari) yang menggunakan OS Android sebagai handset mereka, harus megaktifkan paket internet broadband agar bisa menikmati fasilitas internet di handset Android mereka. Sampai saat ini Indosat (IM3 dan Mentari) belum mengeluarkan produk khusus untuk paket internet Android.

Cara mendaftar dan mengaktifkan paket internet Android Indosat (IM3 dan Mentari) adalah dengan menekan *123*4*1# dan tekan call seperti ketika kita ingin mengecek pulsa. Akan muncul menu paket internet kuota dan paket internet unlimited. Silakan pilih salah satu dengan menekan angka 1 (paket internet kuota) atau 2 (paket internet unlimited). Setelah itu akan muncul daftar tarif paket internet berdasarkan harian, mingguan, atau bulanan. Disitu ditulisakan juga berapa MB (Megabytes) atau GB kuota yang kita dapatkan.

Setelah itu akan dikirimkan notifikasi bahwa registrasi paket internet broadband Android Indosat sudah berhasil dan akan otomatis diperpanjang jika pulsa mencukupi.

Selain cara diatas ada cara lain untuk registrasi paket internet kartu IM3 dan Mentari yaitu dengan SMS kirim ke 323. Berikut daftar paket data beserta harganya yang diambil dari website resmi indosat

Atau tekan *777*1*5# (ketika diakses muncul "invalid menu"), maka pakai *123*4*1# dari handphone Anda, pilih paket broadband yang diinginkan.

b. Paket Data Unlimited Broadband
Anda juga bisa nikmati broadband cepat tanpa batas, tanpa perlu mengganti kartu. Tersedia berbagai macam paket sesuai kebutuhanmu. Kecepatan akses hingga 384 Kbps, setelah kuota habis menjadi 64 Kbps.

Ketentuan Mentari Broadband dan IM3 Broadband

• Pelanggan bisa melakukan registrasi paket kapan saja.
• Registrasi dan penggunaan quota hanya di Indonesia.
• Setting APN-nya adalah indosatgprs (bukan indosat3g, biasanya settingan default APN bawaan hp Android adalah indosat3g, maka harus diganti menjadi indosatgprs; tidak mempengaruhi kecepatan akses)
• Untuk Paket Quota:
  • Jika quota habis, akses akan terputus lebih dulu. Jika masih dalam masa aktif layanan (kecepatan masih hingga 2 Mbps), penggunaan selanjutnya Rp 1/KB (belum termasuk PPN)
  • Setelah melewati masa aktif, kecepatan akses akan berkurang hingga ke level EDGE/GPRS
  • - Berlaku perpanjangan layanan secara otomatis jika pulsa pelanggan mencukupi
    - Registrasi lagi (re-registrasi) selama dalam masa aktif dapat dilakukan
    - Jika quota masih ada, pelanggan yang melakukan re-registrasi, maka quota yang ada akan dihapus (hangus).
    - Untuk menghentikan layanan otomatis perpanjangan berlangganan, ketik STOP kirim ke 323 atau pilih STOP melalui UMB *123*4*1# pilih Berhenti Berlangganan, maka layanan akan dihentikan pada akhir periode berlangganan.
• Untuk Paket Unlimited
  
  • Otomatis perpanjangan berlangganan akan diberlakukan bagi pelanggan yang register ke layanan unlimited broadband ini dan pelanggan dapat melakukan registrasi lagi untuk mendapatkan kecepatan 256kbps.
  • Untuk menghentikan layanan otomatis perpanjangan berlangganan, ketik STOP kirim ke 323 atau melalui **123*4*1# , maka layanan akan dihentikan pada akhir periode berlangganan.
• Untuk unreg dari layanan ini, ketik UNREG kirim ke 323 atau tekan *123*4*1# pilih Berhenti Berlangganan.

History
The 7.2 Mbps firmware for the XU-870 (or DELL Wireless 5510) was very hard to find! I spent many nights googling the web to find it. After find this firmware I was disappointed because the Novatel Wireless Merlin updater doesn't want to flash my DELL branded card. So I decided to find a way to update my fuc**g 3G card. If you have an x64 laptop and a DELL card I think you will be happy to know that DELL don't provide ANY 64 bits drivers (One more reason to debrand you DELL card!)

Upgrading the Merlin XU-870
Upgrading your Novatel Wireless Merlin XU-87 branded 3G card is as easy as download this file :-) :

Upgrading the DELL Wireless 5510 to 7.2 Mbps
For a XU_870 you can use directly the 101.9.00 firmware updater but for the DELL there is no way! We can't upgrade the card with the same firmware update! So we use the old firmware updater (version 9.5.03) to flash the new 7.2 Mbps firmware. For this we have to swap two files during the upgrade
processes.

Upgrading a XU-870 branded by DELL is more complicated. You have to follow this tutorial to flash and debrand your DELL Card. After this, your card will be recognize like an Novatel Wiresll Merlin XU-870 card.

Download the following file :

This is step by step to upgrade your firmware:

1. Download and install first the Novatel driver for the card.
You can download for free newest software and driver MobiLink Connection Manager and Driver Installer for Windows Vista and Windows 7, 32 & 64 bit, (because link at the official website has been removed). Download MobiLink Manager Driver Novatel Merlin XU870.rar on below

2. Download Upgrade 7.2 Mbps Toolkit . Launch the NVTL__FUU_800_9.5.03_S1.exe installer, you will see this screen (sorry I'am French as you can see on the update's screenshot)

Don't click on "Next"

3. Go to the temp folder (On my Windows Vista : C:\Windows\temp). You will see an "U800.nvtb", this is the old firmware. So replace the 10,5 MB "U800.nvtb" files by the 12,9 MB "U800.nvtb" files you've downloaded from this website.

4. Now click on "I Accept" and "Next"

5. The modem is controlled

6. At this point the modem's configuration is saved

7. At this point the new firmware is written on the 3G card.

In the temp folder you will see a new *.cache file. Replace the "*.cache" files by the "XU870.cache" files you've downloaded from this website. So take my *.cache file and rename it with the same name than the old one (here : L7101106001991_001.cache).

The configuration file contain all information about the device except IMEI. So The branded information are stored in this file. So restoring my *.cache file will debrand your DELL card to be an original Merlin XU-870

8. At this point the configuration is restored on the card

9. The modem is restarted and the wizard is ended

The card is updated !

After this your laptop will recognize your DELL Wireless 5510 as a Novatel XU870 card

10. Reflash the card a second time (restart at number 2 of the tutorial).

FOR WINDOWS USERS

Access your network adapter’s properties. (Go into Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center)

Enter the IPv4 connectivity options and change the preferred and secondary DNS server to 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 respectively.

Click OK and restart your internet connection to apply the new settings.

FOR MAC USERS

Select your network by adapter by going to System Preferences -> Network.

Add the same DNS servers in your adapter’s advanced properties.

Confirm the settings and restart your internet connection to apply them

FOR LINUX (UBUNTU) USERS

Enter you adapter’s properties through System -> Preferences -> Network Connections. Then go to the Wired or Wireless tab (depending on your connection type) and click on the “Edit” button.

Enter the same servers in the IPv4 settings. Separate the servers by a single space.

Click on “Apply” and restart the net connection.

Cara mempercepat koneksi internet (Part 1) edit bandwidth limit

Secara teori memang bandwidth tidak bisa ditambah. Bandwidth yang kita terima tidak lebih dari bandwidth yang diberikan ISP (Internet Service Provider) kita. Tapi seringkali kali kita merasa bahwa bandwidth internet kita tidak sesuai dengan paket internet dari ISP yang kita gunakan sehingga koneksi kita jadi lambat. Inilah salah satu penyebabnya.

Secara default, ternyata hampir semua versi windows (2000, XP, Vista, 7) memotong dan memakai sekitar 20% bandwidth kita untuk keperluannya, tidak jelas keperluan yang seperti apa. Disini akan saya berikan langkah-langkah untuk menonaktifkan settingan windows tersebut, agar bandwidth yang kita terima sesuai dengan yang ISP berikan. Tutorial cara mempercepat koneksi dan akses internet berikut berlaku untuk semua jenis operator/ISP baik GSM maupun CDMA (Telkomsel, Indosat, Axis, Smart, XL, dll) dengan cara mengedit bandwidth limit pada gpedit.msc

1. Klik (Start), cari dan pilih Run, ketikkan gpedit.msc

2. Akan muncul windows directory seperti gambar dibawah, buka/double klik Administrative Templates.

3. Pilih Network, kemudian buka QoS Packet Scheduler.

4. Pada panel sebelah kanan, cari setting yang bernama Limit reservable bandwidth, lalu klik dua kali.

5. Akan muncul jendela baru, pilih Enabled dari tiga pilihan yang berbentuk radio button. Pada bagian options bawah, ganti 20 dengan 0 pada bagian Bandwidth limit (%).

6. Klik Apply dan OK.

7. Tutup Group Policy.

Nah, setelah mengedit bandwidth limit yang ada di gpedit.msc, sekarang bandwidth anda bertambah 20% lebih banyak dari sebelumnya, yang artinya koneksi internet anda juga semakin cepat.
